Girls Running Strong

finding STRENGTH in every STRIDE


Is your daughter ready for the next step? Introducing TEAM Girls Running Strong!  This program is for girls ages 10-15* and will feature a longer season with multiple  races ranging in distance from 3-6miles. It is recomended that girls complete at least one 8 week GRS training session before registering for TEAM Girls Running Strong*. The program focuses on goal setting and positive self esteem while building endurance, strength and speed in the sport of running.  The program meets 2 x per week for 90 minutes each.

*some exceptions to the age requirement may be made.  Contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions. It is recommended that girls complete at least one 8 week GRS training session before registering for TEAM GRS. Girls should also be able to run a timed mile under 9 minutes and a 5k (3.1 miles) under 29 minutes)

Note: The TEAM GRS program is intended for the beginner+/ intermediate runner

When and Where


Our TEAM program meets on Mon/Wed from 4:00 to 5:30pm in the parking lot behind LR Green Elementary School located at 3315 Las Palmas Escondido which is adjacent to Kit Carson Park. 

Registration, Race Schedule and program dates

The TEAM GRS program starts Wednesday 1/11/17 and ends 4/30/17 

The tentative Race Schedule is as follows:

2/4 Mitchell Thorp Foundation 5k (Carlsbad)                

3/4 Finish Chelsea's Run 5k (San Diego) 

4/1 Peace, Love, Run 10k (San Diego)

1 to 2 additional races TBD
